Hey Y’all! I’m Angeline.

Now, if we were meeting at a networking event, I would shake your hand and introduce myself as the founder, artist, and storyteller behind the creative business, Dots & Dust. BUT if we were just kickin’ it at a local coffee shop (which is DEFINITELY my kind of scene) then I would give you the biggest hug and describe myself as a self-proclaimed “Army Brat” that was born in Cali, raised in the South, currently lives in Alabama, wife to an awesome hubby, and the proud mama to 3 beautiful kiddos. Did I lose you? That’s okay. It happens all the time.

Want to know a few other fun facts about me?

I absolutely love the Lord, fresh flowers bring a smile to my face, and I would rather be sitting around a fire sipping a mocktail and laughing with family & friends than go out on the town.

Before I had staked my claim as an entrepreneur, educator, artist, & paint maker, my life looked very different.

Growing up, I always had a love for writing and journaling. I would spend hours daydreaming up stories and doodling in notebooks with my extensive collection of Hello Kitty and Sakura Jelly Roll pens. But as I got older and the world’s expectations began to overtake my own, I pushed aside those “hobbies” for a rainy day. Funny thing is that God has a way of bringing those talents and gifts back into your life in a way you’d never imagine.

In January of 2016, I made the decision to take a class on Modern Calligraphy while my husband was stationed at Redstone Arsenal. It was during that class that I fell in love with drawing elegant letters and all at once I felt God hand me my calling.

“When we have the courage to walk into our story and own it, we get to write the ending.”

— Brene Brown

That one class was all it took to reignite my creativity and my passion to teach.

For years I had struggled to form a strong relationship with the Lord and could not figure out where my life’s passions lie. It was through my love of bible journaling, lettering, and watercolor that those worlds collided. Not only had I found a relationship with God’s word that I never knew was possible, but God had revealed to me an affinity for the arts and a buried love for empowering and teaching women to discover their creative gifts as well.

So in March of 2018, the Lord gave me the courage to take my ministry and “hobby” a step further. And viola! Dots & Dust was born!

“Our goal at Dots & Dust is to inspire, educate, & equip women to discover their god-given creative gifts, which in turn they can use to bless their family & their community.”

What People Are Saying

“She will make you smile with delight at her love of dark chocolate and sweet tea. She will inspire you to try your hand at a new technique in your Journaling Bible because she breaks it down into such doable steps. Most of all, she will encourage you to ‘come as you are’ before God, leading by her own brave example in sharing both the joyous parts of her story and the hard. As someone who struggles with striving and perfectionism, I need spiritual and artistic mentors in my life like Angeline who speak God's Truth from a place of authenticity. I always come away from her posts and videos breathing deeper and knowing that God's love is big enough for ALL of me. What a gift! We all need a soul sister like Angeline in our lives.”

— Lauren Lanker, blogger at The Thinking Closet

“In 2018, I had just moved back to the U.S. and was looking to get involved in my local chapel. At the time, a bible journaling class was being taught by Angeline. I was not familiar with bible journaling but I joined the group since I wanted to learn something new about God and make new friends. I had no idea that joining this class would change the way I looked at my bible forever. My bible went from black and white type to a canvas calling me to use all of my creative ideas on. From paint to washi tape, Angeline taught me how to beautify the pages through dozens of different mediums. She also taught me how to handletter the Word and boosted my confidence in all my artistic ability. I am so thankful that she opened my eyes to the world of bible journaling.”

— Kristen Percival, mama & fellow bible journaler

“It has been an absolute honor to work with Angeline. Her inspiring and encouraging creations are a direct reflection of her true heart of service and she is eager to support her community. I look forward to collaborating with Angeline as her positive, flexible, easy-going personality matched with her artistic talent make her an asset to any team.”
